![]() Popular Diablo streamer Kripparian broke down the mechanics behind item rolls in Diablo 4 in one his videos, which eventually prompted players to look for solutions. Whether through drops or enchanting, each item chooses from a list of affixes based on its type, but also based on the current character class interacting with it. ![]() While players are somewhat unhappy with "affix bloat" in Diablo 4, the perfectly rolled item can still elicit the same excitement that past Diablo games are famous for, the current system to obtain good rolls for certain classes is rigged. This makes Enchanting a mandatory part of the game, and trips to the Occultist are a lot more common than trips to the Mystic in Diablo 3. Compared to its predecessor, itemization in Diablo 4 is very strict, and favors a narrow list of affixes over anything else: Skill Ranks, Damage to Vulnerable Enemies, Critical Strike Chance, and Attack Speed are usually preferred for all Diablo 4 builds.
